Malaysian Johor State Explores Cooperation on Eco-Friendly ‘Grastic’ Material, Pledges Support for Factory Setup
On October 28, the “Business Opportunities in Malaysia Seminar: Realizing Regional Growth, Johor-Singapore Special Economic Zone” was successfully held at the Sapphire Ballroom of the Lotte Hotel in Seoul.
This seminar aimed to highlight Johor’s strategic location and economic growth potential while exploring avenues for business collaboration between Malaysia and South Korea.
Genesis Nature introduced its environmentally friendly alternative material to plastic, called “Grastic,” offering a new solution to environmental issues. Grastic, an innovative material designed to replace traditional plastics, addresses the problem of plastic-related pollution and emphasizes sustainability, garnering strong interest from attendees.
Johor State Chief Minister On Hafiz Ghazi personally reviewed the product and expressed high regard for Genesis Nature’s biodegradable material technology, pledging full support for establishing a production plant in Johor. He stated, “Johor is ready to grow as a hub for eco-friendly industries and technology, including data centers, and we look forward to the active participation of Korean companies.”
The seminar provided an opportunity for South Korean companies to explore diverse collaborative opportunities in Malaysia, particularly in Johor, fostering mutually beneficial business models and playing a key role in strengthening economic ties between the two countries.
